By Kevin Price For GCS Athletics The 2024 season gets underway today for the volleyball teams at Glynn Academy and Brunswick High. The Lady Terrors will open their new campaign on the road with matches against Effingam and Richmond Hill in Springfield. The Lady Pirates are scheduled for home matchups with Savannah Arts and Ware County starting at 5 p.m. The two local teams are actually slated to face off next Tuesday in their first region match of the season. Their rivalry showdown is set for 5 p.m. at Glynn Academy. The Lady Terrors finished 29-12 overall last fall. They reached the Sweet 16 of the Class AAAAAA state tournament before falling to Marist.
