By Kevin Price For GCS Athletics Glynn Academy and Brunswick High will each send wrestlers to the Class AAAAAA state championship competition this coming week in Macon. A state sectional was held Saturday at BHS where wrestlers from several schools competed in their respective weight classes for the coveted spots in the state tourney. Another Class AAAAAA sectional was held this weekend at Houston County. The Red Terrors qualifying for the state traditional meet were Liam Bee, Harbin Bruce, Hunter Kegley, Ryan Alfau, Phil Cuttino, Aiden Waters, Adam Mills, Cade Morgan, Bennett Sams and Quay Evans. Kegley and Waters won their weight classes Saturday at the BHS sectional. For BHS, the state qualifiers were Anthony Lowe, Clayton Hicks, Thomas Clay and River Creel. Lowe won his weight class. He is also a defending state champion who will go for a second straight state title this year in Macon. Also this past weekend, GA’s Marigona Lau won her weight division at state sectionals to advance to Macon.
