The 2025 high school softball season is underway for both Brunswick High and Glynn Academy.
The Lady Pirates opened the season last Friday with a game at Pierce County, falling tough as they dropped a 10-9 decision to the Lady Bears.

Both games were cut to five innings by the run-rule.
At Camden, Trin Wise and Nyrsha Patel both had three hits each. Patel and Savannah Heilman each drove in three runs.
Amelia Alredge earned the pitching win.
Against Long, Emmie Chance, Jada Boatright and Patel all had two hits with Boatright rapping a double and plating two runs. Chance and Patel also drove in two runs each.
Peyton Wilburn got the pitching win. She worked all five innings, holding the Blue Tide scoreless while giving up two hits and striking out four.
Glynn, coached this season by John Welborn who also is the head baseball coach at the school, will be right back in action at home Thursday against Richmond Hill. First pitch is 5 p.m.
