Glynn Academy finished as the state runner-up Saturday in the Class AAAAA traditonal wrestling tournament which wrapped up over the weekend in Macon. Meantime, the Brunswick High Pirates finished eighth in the team standings. And, both local schools had individual wrestlers who were crowned state champions in their respective weight classes. In traditional wrestling, individuals compete within the different weight classes and compile points for their teams based on their finishes in those different divisions. Glynn was also the runner-up in state duals when teams compete head-to-head. That state tournament preceded the traditional format. For the Red Terrors, AJ Waters claimed a state title in the 150-pound division. Waters was also named the Most Outstanding Wrestler in Class AAAAA.
